James Brolin – yeah that James Brolin who to his credit has had a tremendously successful acting career that has spanned seven decades and has included starring roles on both television and in movies.

Brolin has three children of his own, including actor Josh Brolin of ‘The Goonies’ and ‘Avengers’ fame, he is also stepfather to Jason Gould the son of his current wife Barbara Streisand and her ex-husband Eliott Gould.

Brolin has proven to be successful in almost every facet of the entertainment industry that he has ventured into and he even spent time as a successful race car driver in the late 1970’s even winning the 24 Hours Nurburgring in 1979 before retiring.

One of Brolin’s breaks came in the mid-sixties when he appeared on 3 episodes of the wildly successful ‘Batman’ TV show opposite Adam West.

He was also high school friends with actor Ryan O’Neil.

Going so far as to screen test with Bond Girl icon Maude Adams for ‘Octopussy’, when Roger Moore was considering leaving the franchise after 1981’s ‘For Your Eyes Only’ – he was even offered a contract.

That is until Sean Connery confirmed he was reprising the role in the non-EON Productions ‘Never Say Never Again’ which prompted Roger Moore to return to the role for “Cubby” Broccoli in ‘Octopussy’ what a great year 1983 was to be a Bond fan…except maybe for Brolin. But he will always have ‘Hotel’!
