We Had All The Time In The World – The One And Only Tracy Bond

The incomparable Diana Rigg was born in Doncaster in Northern England in 1938.

Rigg’s career spanned almost eight decades culminating in multiple Emmy nominations for her role as Lady Olenna Tyrell in ‘Game of Thrones’ which she played over parts of four seasons.

Rigg’s brilliance was first witnessed at The Royal Shakespeare Company for eight seasons – her love of the theater was never far from her heart as she would return to it every decade culminating in her 2018 Broadway performance in ‘My Fair Lady’ – she received yet another Tony nomination, the fourth of her career.

Of course Diana Rigg is likely best known to many as Emma Peel the strikingly beautiful half of ‘The Avengers’ for 51 episodes – Rigg was vilified for her request to be paid equally to male stars which ultimately led to her leaving the successful show.

Then there was Bond…James Bond. Diana Rigg signed on to play the only wife of the world’s most famous secret agent in 1968 playing Tracy Vincenzo in ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service’ – the film is thought by many to be one of the best of the franchise.

Did you know it’s rumored that current Bond Daniel Craig’s love Vesper Lynd was modeled after Rigg’s character?

Did you also know Rigg was the second female cast member of ‘The Avengers’ to join Bond following Honor Blackman who portrayed Pussy Galore in 1964’s ‘Goldfinger’.

“Tell Cersei. I want her to know it was me.”
